Who Needs a Press Pass?

A few days ago a friend of mine (Nadine) invited me to go with her to a volleyball game. She teaches volleyball here at BYU and was able to get us front row seats, for which I was very appreciative. The funny thing is; I usually can get front row seats to any event I attend, as long as I'm toting my camera.
I remember months ago, spending an afternoon being bounced about the Brimhall building trying to get in contact with the person who assigns press passes to photographers in charge of shooting school events for the Daily Universe (our school paper). Unfortunately, my lack of credentials and the fact that I have a real major (no offense Diana:) disqualifies me from this honor.
Luckily, I would later discover that around here I simply need to have my camera in hand to get prime access anywhere, although sometimes it takes my 70-200 2.8 to convince them.
